Closed period
The Centre will be closed from now until the first lecture of the new season which will be on Wednesday 6th August. However, if any member of the community would like to help out at the Centre and are free on any afternoons Monday -Saturday, please feel free to contact us.

Teaching Page
During the closed period we will be posting more items on the Teaching page. Material from a recent series of classes looking at the five hindrances to meditation has been uploaded. More full lectures and talks are to follow. Be sure to check regulary

Retreats
Residential course confirmation forms for the Autumn 2008 season have now been sent out. If you have not received your slip please contact the Centre as as soon as possible.

Retreat spaces available
Since allocating places for the Autumn season, spaces have become available on various retreats. Please see the Retreats page for further information. If you would like to book a place please contact us as soon as possible. The silent retreats especially are very popular and places will be taken up quickly.

Residential Courses
Retreat request forms for the forthcoming Autumn 2008 season have now been sent out to all members of the group. The last day for returning the forms is Friday 30th May. If you have not yet received a form please contact the Centre. Dates of the courses have been posted on the Retreats page

Lecture
A new MP3 of an Alan James talk has been posted to the Teaching page. "The Wisdom of the Buddha" was delivered in 1999, a time of change as we entered a new millenium. The message of the talk is simple: practising Buddhists should have little to worry about regarding the future. Act with love, compassion and wisdom and you will be safe even in the midst of total insecurity.
